Caretaker(s) of an Intentional Community

Bethesda is seeking an on-site caretaker couple or family for a beautiful and well-established 10-unit townhouse community in Chilliwack, BC. Opened in 2016, the Vedder Terrace community has become a place rich in belonging for people with and without disabilities. People who, with their unique contributions and their personal dreams and goals, have created a vibrant community and lifestyle that reflects their shared commitment to inclusion and interdependence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•        Maintain and manage the townhouse complex and property.

•        General property maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of common areas.

•        Oversee meal planning, preparation and cleanup for communal meals.

•        Monitor and complete safety checks.

•        Develop relationships with the tenants, families, and the community.

•        Facilitate community involvement.

•        Assist and respond to emergencies.

•        Complete administrative responsibilities.

•        Provide assistance and growth to the workshop program.

CONTRACT INCLUDES:

•        Yearly renewable contract with Bethesda of $5,000.00 per month

•        License to occupy on-site 3-bedroom townhouse suite
