POSTION SUMMARY: 
The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Crisis Shelter & Residence, working in 
collaboration with all staff as they provide administrative support. They would provide a variety of 
complex, confidential, administrative tasks in support of the Director of Residential Programs.

POSITION REPORTING: 
Reports to Director of Residential Programs Crisis Shelter & Residence 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Working as part of a collaborative team, they will: 
• Coordinating master schedule, filling shifts as needed
• Maintain and track monthly stats 
• Administrate, support and provide direction to Shelter Staff with HIFIS (Homeless Individuals 
and Families Information System), and enter client Data in HIFIS as required.
• Perform general office duties such as: Data entry
• Maintaining confidential records
• Training new staff as needed with HIFIS and Scheduling
• Coordinate staff meetings and agendas
• Maintain and operate office equipment
• Order and maintain office supplies
• Communicating building maintenance issues
• Provide support to the Director of Programs, Shelter Management, CS&R staff as needed
• Provide communication within the departments of the YWCA as a whole

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of 2 year of previous experience in administration assistant role
• Diploma or Certificate in related field 
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft excel office
• Experience with scheduling and stat tracking 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to deal with confidential issues in a professional manner
• Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Clearance check 

WAGE:
$16.21 per hour (Step 1 Wage Grid)
This is an in-scope position.
