About Ending Violence Association of BC
The Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) is a dynamic, solutions-based provincial non-profit association that trains and supports close to 300 anti-violence programs and cross-sector initiatives across BC that respond to gender-based violence (GBV) including sexual and intimate partner violence.
The programs we support include BC’s Community-Based Victim Services (CBVS), Stopping the Violence Counselling (STVC), STV Outreach (STV ORS) and Multicultural Outreach (STV MORS), and Sexual Assault Services (SAS) as well as a number of cross-sectoral coordination initiatives and projects.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Provincial Services, the Program Lead is responsible for leading projects and initiatives under EVA BC’s Provincial Services stream that support anti-violence workers.
Overview of Key Responsibilities
Lead the deliverables of the Stopping the Violence Counselling Enhancement Project and support initiatives under EVA BC’s provincial umbrella, including planning, budgeting, promotion, tracking, evaluating, and reporting to funders
Identify ongoing training needs of STV counsellors
Research and review best practices, and policy and legislation, that may affect or impact the delivery of STV counselling services and virtual counselling services; stay informed of the issues and gaps in services concerning STV counselling programs
Provide support to frontline workers and administrators in contracted programs, through phone and email-based support on work-related issues impacting programs, as needed
Lead the development of written resources, including guides, toolkits, reports, informational materials, and other EVA BC communications
Support in the development of online and in-person training curricula and materials for anti-violence workers, and facilitate training and engagement sessions with STV counsellors
Work with the Provincial Services team and assist in the development of funding proposals and EVA BC’s positions on legislation, policy, and program issues on an as-needed basis
Represent EVA BC and the programs we serve on various committees created externally and act as an ambassador for issues concerning anti-violence workers and survivors of gender-based violence in BC
Foster a teamwork approach to actively contribute to the overall work of EVA BC
Interested candidates should have a combination of the following:
Works, at a minimum, at a bachelor’s level by way of degree or combination of experience and training
Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in the Stopping the Violence Counselling program or equivalent
Strong understanding of gender-based violence (including sexual violence and intimate partner violence), harassment and hate
Demonstrated knowledge of the anti-violence sector and the diverse needs of survivors, anti-violence workers, and communities
Understanding of stakeholder, governance and public policy sectors that influence the gender-based violence sector
Experience with Stopping the Violence Outreach Services, Multicultural Outreach Services, Community-Based Victim Services, and/or Sexual Assault Services programs an asset
Experience working directly with survivors of gender-based violence, communities impacted by gender-based violence, and/or community-based anti-violence workers and leaders
Experience facilitating supportive counselling groups an asset
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives, ensuring project deliverables and timelines are achieved, in accordance with the project plan and budget
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to communicate complex ideas effectively with a variety of audiences
Ability to analyze and synthesize information to inform the development of training, resources, and reports
Excellent skills relating to establishing and maintaining respectful and collaborative working relationships with all levels of staff as well as external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to be flexible, work within deadlines, be a collaborative team player, work independently, and show initiative and creativity
Ability to work from a survivor-centered, trauma-informed, intersectional, gender-inclusive, anti-oppressive perspective, informed by the ongoing impacts of colonization, and a commitment to reconciliation

This is a temporary position to commence in July 2025 and end on June 30, 2026, with the potential to be extended.
The salary range for this position is $56,657 to $68,960, based on 35 hours per week.
This position works primarily from the EVA BC office in Vancouver, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and will occasionally require working off site, extended travel and hours, and/or evenings or weekends.
