Options Community Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering social services across the Southern Fraser region (Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley) from early childhood to seniors. Our comprehensive range of programs and services relies on collaborative relationships with individuals, businesses, community groups and government bodies to create focused, effective and responsive resources for the community.

Position Overview

Are you passionate about empowering families and supporting youth through life’s toughest stages? We’re looking for a Parenting Facilitator to join our Life Skills Program—someone who’s ready to guide parents and caregivers with practical tools, compassionate support, and engaging workshops that make a real difference. If you thrive in group settings, love connecting with families, and believe in the power of strong communication, this could be the perfect role for you.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering evidence-informed workshops and individualized support to parents and caregivers, with a focus on the developmental needs of youth aged 12–15. This role involves program planning, facilitation, and evaluation using trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices. The Parenting Facilitator engages families through intake, goal setting, and ongoing support, while also coordinating logistics, community outreach, and collaboration with referral partners such as MCFD. Accurate documentation, effective program promotion, and active participation in team meetings are essential components of this dynamic position.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have a diploma in a related field (or equivalent training and experience), Parenting Education Facilitator Training, and at least two years of experience supporting families with young children or adolescents aged 12–15. They will bring strong group facilitation skills, knowledge of child and adolescent development, and a solid understanding of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and attachment-focused practices. A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, First Aid certification, and proficiency in virtual platforms and Microsoft Office are required. A second language is considered an asset.

This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
