Position Overview

Are you a tech-savvy organizer with a passion for helping newcomers build a new life in Canada? We're looking for an Intake and Digital Services Program Coordinator to lead the frontline of our BC SAFE HAVEN and BC NSP Programs. In this pivotal role, you’ll coordinate client intake, optimize digital tools for service delivery, and support a dedicated team in providing wraparound settlement services to refugee claimants—ensuring no one falls through the cracks.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the seamless intake of clients into the BC NSP and BC SAFE HAVEN programs while managing digital service platforms to enhance delivery efficiency. Responsibilities include deploying the Urgent Response Team, coordinating daily operations across multiple locations, supporting staff and volunteers, and ensuring program quality and compliance. The Coordinator also contributes to communications, data analysis, and reporting, collaborates with community partners, and maintains a strong understanding of immigration and refugee processes to better serve diverse newcomer populations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience in settlement services, with a proven track record of working with newcomers, vulnerable populations, and volunteers. They have experience analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data and stay current with technology, online communication, and social media trends. Exceptionally organized and dependable, they thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at prioritizing tasks. With strong written and verbal communication skills, they engage effectively with diverse communities while demonstrating cultural sensitivity. Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital platforms, they are skilled in data collection, survey analysis, and program evaluation. The candidate brings strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, understands the unique challenges faced by immigrants and refugees, and can work independently with professionalism and flexibility.
