This opportunity starts as a contract role to help us design a 4-week inpatient addiction and mental health program. Once the program is built, we’re also looking to hire a full-time Clinical Director to oversee, implement, and lead the program long-term.
Applying for the full-time position is optional. We welcome candidates interested in only the contract portion as well.
Descriptions for both positions / "phases" are below:
🔧 Phase 1 – Contract Work (Program Development)
Estimated 30–40 total hours over 4 weeks, with a minimum commitment of 8 hours per week.
-You will collaborate on the development of our 4-week inpatient program and help prepare us for launch. Responsibilities include:
-Designing the clinical framework and daily/weekly schedule
-Outlining both group and individual session structures
-Ensuring the program is trauma-informed, culturally safe, and aligns with best practices
-Creating materials to support staff implementation and training
-Aligning the program with OHIP billing, accreditation, and Ministry of Health standards
-Structuring clinical documentation flow, care planning, and client file storage systems
-Advising on staffing needs and scopes of practice
🧠 Phase 2 – Full-Time Clinical Director Role (Post-Launch):
Upon successful collaboration and launch, we hope to bring the right candidate into a permanent leadership position as Clinical Director. Responsibilities will expand to include:
-Providing clinical supervision to all staff and ensuring quality of care
-Overseeing client intake, treatment planning, documentation, and discharge
-Leading staff training on clinical programming and delivery
-Coordinating outreach with community partners
-Supporting and maintaining compliance with regulatory and funder requirements
-Acting as the primary liaison with funders, partners, and the Ministry of Health
-Leading ongoing program evaluation and refinement to maintain standards of excellence
- Ensuring clinical documentation, file storage, and minimum billing standards are met
✅ Ideal Candidate:
-Registered Social Worker, Nurse, Psychotherapist, or Addiction Specialist (e.g., CRPO, OCSWSSW, CNO, etc.)
-Demonstrated experience in designing and leading clinical programming
-Familiarity with Ontario’s mental health system, OHIP billing pathways, and compliance regulations
-Skilled in trauma-informed, culturally competent, and client-centered care
-Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
-Passionate about community healing and building a treatment model that prioritizes equity and access
📍 Location:
Remote-friendly during the program design phase (Phase 1)
In-person for post-launch (GTA-based is ideal) (Phase 2)
💰 Budget:
Contract work: Flexible (hourly or project-based)
Full-time salary: Competitive and based on experience
