The Welcome Home – A Mission of St. Alphonsus Inc. is seeking a
Ministry Support Worker (part-time position – 15-20 hours per week)

The Welcome Home is a faith-based initiative located in the inner-city neighborhood of Point Douglas in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was begun in 1993 by the Ukrainian Catholic Redemptorists with a mission of service to the residents of this historic neighbourhood.  Following in the steps of Christ Jesus, our Redeemer, we seek to “bring the good news to the poor” (Lk 4:16), giving witness to the mercy and compassion of God and the building of God’s Kingdom on earth.  Our outreach is based on an understanding of the human person that recognizes a constitutive spiritual dimension. This implies care for the whole person created in the image of God and the promotion of fundamental human rights to dignity and justice.  Our vision and mission are realized through a life of prayer, compassionate service to our neighbours, and the formation of a caring community with them

The Welcome Home is seeking a Ministry Support Worker (MSW) in a contract position who shares the core values of Catholic faith and spirituality and feels called to ministry with the resident Redemptorists.
