The Opportunity Awaits—Where Passion Meets Impact!

Second Harvest is Canada’s largest food rescue organization and the expert in perishable food recovery. We rescue surplus, unsold food from across the supply chain and redistribute it to non-profits across the country to feed communities. Demonstrating our values of community, environment, integrity and collaboration, we strive for No Waste. No Hunger.

If you are ready to bring your expertise and innovation to a mission-driven organization, this is your moment.

Enter Second Harvest…

Think we're just about redirecting food surplus? Think bigger.

Here's why Second Harvest is your next career leap:

Pioneers in food rescue, we are a renowned leader in perishable food redistribution across Canada.

With a mission fueled by a no-waste, no-hunger ethos, we're not just changing the game—we're rewriting the rules.

Our strategic approach aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making every day a step towards global change.

 The Role:

As a Training & Education Coordinator, you will deliver Second Harvest’s educational programming to audiences across the country, engaging communities in food and nutrition knowledge, food safety, food literacy, and food waste prevention. You will lead training sessions both in-person and virtually, supporting the growth and reach of our Training and Education Program.

Additionally, you will contribute to the development of new educational content and support the execution of specialized learning events that drive deeper awareness and action around food waste reduction.

 Who You Are:

Bilingual Educator: Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken), with experience delivering educational programming to diverse audiences.

Dynamic Facilitator: Strong skills in public speaking and workshop facilitation, able to engage and inspire groups of varying sizes and backgrounds.

Organized Collaborator: Highly organized with excellent project management skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Effective Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect and resonate with different audiences.

Adaptable Professional: Comfortable traveling across Canada and working flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Committed Changemaker: Passionate about food literacy, sustainability, and social change; a Food Handler Certification is an asset.

An interest in food safety, food literacy, and food waste prevention would be considered an asset. Valid G-class license and access to a vehicle are preferred, but we will consider accommodations to support transportation needs.

 About the Perks:

A competitive salary paired with a robust benefits package.

Professional growth in a role that makes a real difference.

Flexible work hours and a commitment to work-life balance.
