Based in Stratford, Ontario, the Stratford Festival is one of the world’s foremost repertory theatre companies. It operates year-round, presenting a season of about a dozen plays each year between the months of April and November, a rich stream of digital content and hundreds of events designed to deepen understanding of the plays. The Campaign Manager is responsible for providing administrative support for the Festival’s Inspiring Excellence campaign. This role involves campaign reporting, managing timelines, scheduling internal and external meetings, entering and adjusting prospect plans, compiling and sending gift agreements to donors, maintaining accurate donor listings, managing physical public recognition (donor walls and markers) and supporting event management for campaign events.  The role requires accuracy and confidentiality, managing donor information and stewardship with strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage tasks simultaneously.  Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, the Campaign Manager collaborates with the Advancement Directors and the Finance and Marketing design teams as well as outside vendors to complete deliverables for the campaign in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a timeline for campaign goals and ensuring milestones and reporting deadlines are met.
  • Schedule regular Advancement team campaign meetings, taking meeting notes, and circulating next steps
  • Prepare additional campaign reports for Board and Committee meetings including excel, PowerPoint or narrative reports.   
  • Enter and adjust prospect plans in the CRM on behalf of the VP Advancement, ensuring accuracy and completeness of donor data related to campaign activity, applying strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Prepare and Manage reports from the CRM (Tessitura) to support budgeted fundraising goals and expensesPreparing briefing materials for donor meetings and support prospect strategy planning in collaboration with Advancement leadership and/or Prospect Researcher.
  • Manage campaign donor information including compiling, sending and collecting campaign pledge agreements.
  • Track campaign-related expenses and working with Advancement and Finance teams to ensure budget alignment and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate donor listings including approved publication names from donors  
  • Coordinate with Membership Administrators to ensure timely gift processing, acknowledgement, and tax receipting of campaign donations. 
  • Liaise with Marketing to ensure campaign materials align with messaging, brand, and donor recognition protocols.
  • Support for campaign cultivation or stewardship events at the Festival and externally 
  • Assist with the preparation of donor impact reports and campaign updates to support stewardship and cultivation efforts.
  • Manage the planning and execution of physical donor recognition including donor walls, bricks, or other permanent markers and working with outside vendors on donor recognition elements. 
  • Adhere to the Stratford Festival Health & Safety Commitment and Procedures and ensure that safe work practices and policies are supported and enforced within reporting structure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma program, typically a two year program, or equivalent, (i.e. Community college, Technical Institute or Trade School, etc.) in Fundraising Management, Arts Administration, Business – General or Administration or Communications.
  • 2 to 4 years of related experience
  • Proficiency in CRM/database management (experience with Tessitura strongly preferred), strong attention to data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, with experience managing complex timelines and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting donor correspondence and reports.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism, with proven ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors or donors.
  • Experience supporting events (e.g., donor cultivation, stewardship, or campaign-related events) is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset.

This position is a Part-Time Contract for 1 year, with the possibility of extension, of approximately 20 hours per week.

The pay range is $26.26 - $32.83 per hour.
