Background
Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council (ESCC) brings people, ideas, and information together to build collaborative approaches to services, supports and circumstances affecting older adults. In recent years, organizational partners in the Community Based Seniors Serving (CBSS) sector have identified the need for more collective thinking about how to be more welcoming and inclusive of the full diversity of seniors in our city. EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) work has been identified as a priority. The CBSS sector provides a broad range of supports and programming to help adults aged 55+ to age well in community.
