Sponsored Campaign Representative (Temp-Full-time)

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to assist with United Way workplace campaigns and raise support to create pathways out of poverty. This position is responsible for supporting the development and execution of workplace fundraising campaigns for a portfolio of accounts by acting as a key resource and support to Employee Campaign Chairs (ECCs) and other campaign volunteers, coordinating and completing campaign activities, and building positive and productive relationships with campaign stakeholders. This position reports to the Portfolio Lead, Workplace Fundraising. 

This is a temporary full-time Monday – Friday position (36.25 hours/week) from August 11 to December 5, 2025.

About the role:

• Completes week-long Sponsored Campaign Representative (SCR) training course to become familiar with United Way (UW) programs and services, to learn about effective campaign strategies and how to convey UW messages to external stakeholders and donors, and to develop a personalized speech to present at campaign events. Attends supplementary training sessions throughout the term to learn additional Account Management processes.

Conducts preliminary research on Accounts including reviewing account history, analyzing fundraising trends, identifying potential opportunities and challenges, and developing strategies to overcome challenges.

• Collaborates with ECCs, campaign committees, and volunteers to plan, schedule, and execute successful workplace campaigns and special events including working with the ECC to identify short and long-term fundraising goals, provides recommendations on fundraising best practices, and supports fundraising strategy development.

• Provides campaign support to ECCs by coordinating with ECCs to initialize online and paper pledge drives, ordering and coordinating the delivery of campaign materials, scheduling community impact speakers, attending and speaking at special events, submitting requests for inspiration and retention calls, submitting requests for social media coverage of special events, and assisting with the completion of licensing applications for raffles and prize draws.

• Acts as a first point of contact for ECCs, donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders including providing information and responding to and/or redirecting inquiries as required.

• Monitors the status of active campaigns and provides support and recommendations to achieve campaign objectives.

• Completes post-campaign activities including coordinating with ECC's to pick up all campaign contributions (pledge forms, cash, cheques) and submitting all funds to finance, ensuring that campaign totals are accurate, completing constituent evaluation reports, submitting award nominations, and preparing and delivering certificates of appreciation and thank you cards to ECCs and campaign committees.

• Performs accurate and timely data entry tasks to update and maintain databases.

Supports team members with campaign tasks as needed, ensuring seamless execution and achievement of goals.

About you:

You enjoy problem solving, coordinating events, and presenting to groups.

You have knowledge of administrative functions such as writing correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge, experience, or training in Account Management, Fundraising, and Event Planning, considered an asset.

You have a high school diploma, and a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of related experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered. A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required as travel may be involved within Edmonton and surrounding area. 

To support our volunteers in a digital environment, this role requires comfort with new technology.  Moderate Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are essential and experience using Microsoft Teams, Office 365.
