Nourish lives, inspire wellness. We’re seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to deliver expert nutrition education and personalized counselling that supports clients’ health and well-being. In this impactful role, you’ll be a trusted resource for both clients and staff—developing tailored nutrition programs, coordinating community initiatives, and collaborating with health professionals to create positive, lasting change. If you’re passionate about empowering individuals through nutrition, join us and make a meaningful difference every day.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will evaluate, develop, and manage nutrition education resources while assessing referrals to determine appropriate counselling. They will conduct client interviews to identify health and support needs, build trusting relationships, and provide personalized nutrition counselling and referrals. The Dietitian collaborates with community professionals to coordinate care, maintains accurate client records, and actively participates in group support programs like Lunch Club and Community Kitchen. Additionally, they attend staff and community meetings and work closely with the Program Manager to monitor caseloads and client progress.
The ideal candidate will hold a university degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, have completed an accredited dietetic internship, and be a registered member of the BC College of Dietitians. Additionally, they bring valuable experience in community nutrition.
The successful candidate demonstrates strong nutrition counselling and group facilitation skills, with specific knowledge of prenatal, postpartum, and infant nutrition. They maintain a non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering approach, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent communication skills. Experienced in developing program materials, maintaining accurate client records, and adhering to policies, they are organized, capable of managing multiple tasks, handling sensitive issues confidentially, and respectful of cultural diversity. Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle, First Aid and FoodSafe certificates, and proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
