Evergreen is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with a focus on urban planning or landscape architecture to join our team.

Key Accountabilities   

This role requires a detail-oriented collaborator who is familiar with project operations support and has a desire and curiosity to learn more. You will be responsible for the following accountabilities and outcomes:  

  • Undertaking project documentationtracking tasks with high attention to detail and deadlines. 
  • Coordinating project meetings, supervising schedules, and supporting event logistics and planning. 
  • Tracking budgets and reporting requirementsmanaging project timelines using tools such as Excel and project management software (e.g., MS Project). 
  • Formatting and coordinating construction drawing packages, reports, and deliverables. 
  • Positive collaboration with multidisciplinary team membersfacilitating communication across internal departments and external partners. 
  • Supporting RFP/RFQ processes by issuing documentation, managing submission timelines, and coordinating bidder site visits. 
  • Managing proposal processes through the tracking of incoming proposals, preparing comparative summaries, and assisting in the evaluation and selection process. 
  • Maintaining well-organized procurement records, working to coordinate with internal teams on contract approvals and procedure documentation. 
  • Efficient workflow management across the department, including design, engagement, and technical delivery.  

What You’ll Bring  

Success in this role will be supported by the following target qualifications and core competencies.    

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, landscape architecture, architecture, project management or related field with 2 to 4 years industry experience. 
  • Experience working in designconsulting, municipal or similar environment ideally with exposure to both front-end (engagement/design) and back-end (delivery/construction) phases. 
  • Experience supporting formal procurement processes and proposal writing.
  • Familiarity with public space, parks, streetscape, or community-based infrastructure projects (an asset). 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for liaising with team members, partners and contractors.  
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities and conditions in an agile and flexible way.

  • This is a full-time, salaried role.
  • The target hire rate for this role is $58,000 to $63,000. To ensure equity and transparency, our target hire rates are real and are not flexible. If this posted rate does not meet your needs, we ask that you save your application for a time when there is a role and salary that fit for you. 
  • The paid vacation allocation for this role is 15 days. 
  • This role is supervised by the Project Manager, Planning & Development.   
  • Regular presence on site at Brick Works is required, though there is flexibility within this role for some remote work. Occasional evening and/or weekend work, as needed. 
  • Work environment is a collaborative office space focused on social impact and design excellence, based at Brick Works in the Don Valley.
