Evergreen is seeking a Project Manager with a focus on public realm infrastructure projects, and expertise in urban planning or landscape architecture to join our team.

Key Accountabilities  

This role requires a client-centered project leader with a strong track record in managing the delivery of urban infrastructure projects. They will be responsible for the following accountabilities and outcomes:  

  • Leading a portfolio of successful multi-partner, climate-ready landscape projects from initiation through engagement and design, aligning client needs with community priorities and site capabilities. 
  • Managing and monitoring project budgets and workplans.  
  • Building trust-based relationships with internal team members and external partners, including project proponents and other interest-holders across sectors and geographies. 
  • Ensuring a responsive, solution-based approach to client relationships and co-design processes. 
  • Managing a diverse range of work scopesschedules, and project team skillsets with clarity and accountability.  

What You’ll Bring  

Success in this role will be supported by the following target qualifications and core competencies.    

  • A degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in landscape planning/development. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading meaningful public engagement where differences of opinion are expected, and developing plans that reflect community needs from concept through schematic or detailed design. 
  • Experience working in design consulting or similar environment.  
  • Familiarity with design implementation and construction coordination, even if not directly responsible for delivery. 
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, including issuing and responding to RFPs for consultants and services. 
  • A proven independent project leader who can see the big picture and manage the details, while building relationships with clients and partners.  
  • Ability to recognize and leverage internal team skillsets to build high performing, innovative project teams, offering clear direction to both internal staff and external consultants. 
  • An innovation mindset, with confidence to build new opportunities and act resourcefully in the face of challenges, delivering projects with maximum social and climate impact.

  • This is a full-time, salaried role. 
  • The target hire rate for this role is $75,000 to $80,000.  To ensure equity and transparency, our target hire rates are real and are not flexible. If this posted rate does not meet your needs, we ask that you save your application for a time when there is a role and salary that is a fit for you. 
  • The paid vacation allocation for this role is 15 days. 
  • This role is supervised by the Director, Planning and Development and may have direct reports.   
  • Regular presence on site at Brick Works is required, though there is flexibility within this role for some remote work. Occasional evening and/or weekend work, as needed, as well as occasional need to travel within Canada. 
  • Work environment is a collaborative office space focused on social impact and design excellence, based at Evergreen Brick Works in the Don Valley.
