several years employed at Ve’ahavta I can’t imagine a better or more rewarding place of work. I really enjoy my
colleagues, I believe in the good work we are doing in service of others, and I am constantly stimulated through
the culture of growth and development that is Ve’ahavta”. – Ve’ahavta Employee

JOB PURPOSE
This is more than a coordination job- it's a relationship-building role with an impact at its heart. You'll be the go-to
person for hundreds of volunteers who help drive Ve’ahavta’s mission forward. From volunteer recruitment and
orientation to recognition and retention, you’ll ensure that every volunteer feels connected, appreciated, and
empowered to make a difference.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will take the lead in coordinating all aspects of our volunteer program:
managing schedules, updating our volunteer database, and ensuring every opportunity is meaningful, effective,
and well-organized. Whether you're welcoming a new volunteer, building relationships with corporate partners, or
connecting with families who want to give back, your focus will be on creating a warm, inclusive, and rewarding
experience for everyone involved while helping to drive our mission forward.
You’ll bring people together through powerful storytelling and engaging presentations, whether you're speaking to
a room full of students and their families or facilitating a learning session for longtime volunteers. Tracking the
success of our volunteer program, collecting data, analyzing feedback, and generating reports, will also be part of
your role as you help us improve and grow our impact.
Throughout the year, you’ll bring energy and creativity to our two annual volunteer-driven events, helping recruit
and coordinate the amazing people who make those initiatives possible. You’ll also provide occasional
administrative support and step in to assist program teams when needed, all while staying connected with
colleagues through team meetings, shared events, and cross-functional projects.
In short, you'll be the connector—keeping our community of volunteers informed, inspired, and deeply engaged in
Ve’ahavta’s mission to create positive change.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are seeking a natural connector with strong organizational skills and a genuine passion for bringing people
together. Whether you’re planning behind the scenes or engaging directly with individuals and groups, you know
how to create meaningful experiences.
