Description of roles and tasks:
• Prioritize organizational requirements over individual and departmental desires when contributing information and recommendations to achieve annual operational goals.
• Adhere to a standard of excellence in your productivity, quality of work, and customer-service standards by resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining process improvements, and implementing organizationally centred change.
• Meet financial objectives by adhering to annual budgets and tracking expenditures.
• Enhance departmental and organizational reputation by accomplishing new and different activities and exploring opportunities to add further value to accomplishments.
• Ensure implementation of policies and practices that respect the spirit of their intention and the organization’s benefit.
• Advise Human Resources of any issues regarding employees or actions adverse to Katimavik’s organizational priorities and values.
• Help build positive relations within the team and external parties through integrity, accountability, and embrace the expectations set out by senior leadership.
• Maintain a work schedule that optimizes the advancement of organizational success as determined by senior leadership.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in job development, employment placement, or related roles.
• Familiarity with youth employment, career development, and community engagement.
• Proficiency in assessing and monitoring the productivity and performance of program objectives in both French and English.
• Strong networking skills with the ability to source, develop, and manage a high number of employer contacts.
• Adept at identifying challenges and developing strategic solutions for an excellent program experience.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills to provide motivation, job coaching, and workshop development for Participants
• Problem-solving abilities to recognize and address challenges faced by Participants.
• Effective time management and organizational skills for managing administrative processes, program databases and documentation, including management of employment partner contacts, job offers and participant applications.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate participants support needs and workshops as well as regularly scheduled emergency on call shifts.
• Ability to travel within Canada, potentially on short notice.
