CHIROPODIST (0.6 FTE)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education/counselling and other clinical foot care activities according to the College of Chiropodists    of Ontario.
• Ensure chiropody areas, resources, materials and equipment is maintained, including instrument sterilization;
• Contribute to chart documentation, participate in chart reviews and case conferences and make referrals.
• Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of treatment, education, counselling and health promotion programs and    services for clients of the Centre.
• Advocating on an individual basis for and with patients to other agencies and institutions


QUALIFICATION:
• Degree from a recognized school of chiropody.
• Current registration with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario without limitations.
• Three to five years’ chiropody experience in a Community Health or Hospital setting.
• Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, an asset.
• Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications.
• Experience using Electronic Health Record system - experience with PS Suites is an asset
• Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams
• In addition to English, knowledge of a language spoken within one of the four priority communities, an asset.

This position reports to the Director, Primary Health Care Services

COMPENSATION:

Based on experience and qualifications, starting at $61,337.00 annually based on 1 FTE, with an annual step progression up to a maximum of $73,904.00 pro-rated.
