Humanity Auxilium (HA) is an international non-governmental, non-profit organization registered as a charity in North America. Humanity Auxilium delivers emergency healthcare to displaced populations in a crisis and helps rebuild long-term healthcare infrastructure for a safer future.
To meet the growing needs of its expanding humanitarian operations in Gaza and beyond, HA is currently seeking qualified and committed professionals to support the delivery of essential assistance and services to vulnerable populations.
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Director of Programs to drive the design, evaluation, and refinement of our humanitarian programs. This role is critical to ensuring that Humanity Auxilium’s interventions are impactful, evidence-based, and aligned with both community needs and our core mission. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of humanitarian programming, data-driven decision-making, and cross-cultural collaboration. This position will work closely with field teams, partners, and leadership to translate needs assessments into meaningful action. The following job description is not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may arise as needed. While the position is remote, occasional travel to project sites may be required; all related expenses will be covered by HA. Only applicants based in Canada, or the United States will be considered for this position.
This multifaceted role requires close collaboration with the Executive Director and the HA team to ensure programs are strategically designed, effectively implemented, and continuously improved based on data and field insights.
Grant Identification and Application
Research and identify suitable grant opportunities from foundations, governments, and institutions (grant mapping).
Track grant calendars and deadlines.
Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications, letters of inquiry, and proposals.
Also, review proposals from other partner orgs where HA serves as a grantor and take part in budget negotiations.
Grants Management and Compliance
Design and implement internal systems and policies for grant disbursement, tracking, and documentation.
Ensure all grant-related activities comply with donor requirements and govt laws.
Develop and oversee processes to ensure funds are used as intended, with appropriate records.
Provide input on partner agreements and negotiate budget with partner organizations to ensure responsible use of funds.
Assist the team with developing the budget.
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
Lead the collection and analysis of data related to grant-funded programs.
Prepare and submit timely reports to funders, including financial and narrative components that meet legal compliance regulations.
Maintain up-to-date grant files with full documentation for audit-readiness.
Write impact reports.
Partnership and Risk Assessment
Help assess and vet partner organizations for financial accountability, legal status, and project capacity.
Develop tools and protocols for partnership due diligence.
Legal and Donor Compliance
Work with legal counsel and advisors to understand regulatory frameworks affecting our funding.
Stay up to date on local and international laws governing charitable funds.
Provide guidance to ensure organizational compliance with government agencies and private donors.
• Bachelors degree from an accredited North American university.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar role at a non-profit organization in North America.
