Status                  :              Full Time

                                                                           OUR MISSION

Because of the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ, Hope Mission exists to serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in search of help, healing, and hope.

Job Summary:

Every day, Hope Mission provides meals and life-changing care to thousands of vulnerable men, women, youth, and children across Alberta. Our small (but mighty) fundraising team helps fuel this work by producing a steady stream of high-impact creative fundraising campaigns that inspire donors and move their hearts towards generosity.

Right now, we’re looking to grow this team and hire someone who is a resourceful, systems-minded problem solver with strong project management instincts who not only keeps things moving, but proactively identifies and resolves roadblocks before they become issues. If you’re passionate about making a difference, excited to learn the mechanics of great fundraising, and eager to keep projects moving smoothly from start to finish, then we want to hear from you.

About Our Team:

The team you’ll be joining functions like a small, mission-driven creative agency. We manage the full lifecycle of donor-facing campaigns — from strategy and project planning to copywriting, design, digital deployment, and data reporting. Our work spans direct mail, email, digital ads, web, social, and more — all with a shared goal of inspiring generosity and advancing the mission of Hope Mission through clear, compelling, and results-oriented storytelling and campaign production.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: This role is responsible for managing the lifecycle of our campaigns and projects - from early planning and timeline mapping to project execution and post-campaign review. It requires a strong grasp of the campaign calendar and how various projects intersect. This includes putting together detailed project briefs, setting up projects in our project management software, ensuring roles and timelines are clear, monitoring project statuses and milestones, facilitating check-ins with assignees, and applying insights and learnings to continuously iterate and improve future campaigns.
  • Systems Implementation & Optimization: To keep our large number of fundraising projects running smoothly and at scale, we need to regularly build and refine our project management systems. This includes maintaining project structures, developing dashboards for visibility, setting up automations, and ensuring that all technical components — from email flows to donation forms — are functioning as intended. A critical part of this work is quality assurance: ensuring all projects meet our internal standards and putting safeguards in place to catch and correct errors before they reach donors.
  • Team Enablement & Vendor Coordination: Supporting both our internal team and external partners, this is a key role in ensuring everyone has what they need to succeed. That means helping new team members, contractors, and core vendors onboard into our systems, developing and maintaining clear process documentation, and acting as an initial (and at times ongoing – depending on the person) point of coordination. This person ensures we maintain strong relationships with partners, communicate clearly around deliverables and expectations, and build repeatable systems to support smooth collaboration.

  • Strategic Development: Working closely with the Development Manager, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the strategy behind our fundraising efforts. Over time, you’ll learn the core metrics that drive results and gain insight into how campaigns are conceptualized and launched. As you grow in the role, you’ll have opportunities to contribute to long-term planning and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in any discipline. Our team includes people with backgrounds in theology, English, business, communications, and more. What matters most is how your education has shaped your ability to think critically, solve problems, and communicate clearly.
  • Experience in project coordination or operations is an asset—especially in nonprofit, fundraising, or marketing contexts—but not required. We’re open to highly organized self-starters who are eager to learn and grow.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects, manage deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills. You’re comfortable coordinating with others, giving clear updates, and navigating both internal and external communications.

  • A knack for systems and processes. Whether it’s project management software, email platforms, or shared calendars, you enjoy building and optimizing systems that help get things done.

  • Comfort with basic tech tools and a willingness to learn new ones. You should be open to learning new platforms and tools that help move our projects forward.

  • Proactive and dependable. You’re the kind of person who follows through, asks good questions, and takes ownership of your responsibilities.

  • Growth mindset. You’re open to feedback, eager to improve, and excited to develop your skills and responsibilities over time.

  • Alignment with the mission. We’re a team that deeply believes in the work of Hope Mission, rooted in the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ, and we’re looking for someone who shares that passion and purpose to make an impact for the Kingdom.

Other Requirements:

  • Being a Christian Organization, we require our employees to be in agreement and sign the Hope Mission Statement of Faith.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
  • Able to provide Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and a Child Intervention Record Check
  • A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset
  • Adherence to Hope Mission’s Policies and Procedures
