Across the Lower Mainland, we also deliver hundreds of workshops focused on social-emotional learning, social justice, and awareness.

Workshop Development & Facilitation (30%)

  • Design and deliver engaging, innovative workshops using art, games, and movement activities on topics related to violence prevention and social justice (training will be provided, but prior workshop design experience is required).

  • Ensure all workshops reflect LOVE BC’s values of empowerment, inclusivity, and equity.

  • Support other facilitators in co-developing and piloting new workshop content.

  • Facilitate one weekly school program, including preparation and delivery.

Team Support & Training (30%)

  • Provide light supervision, mentorship, and debriefs for facilitators and volunteers.

  • Assist with onboarding or orientation of new facilitators.

  • Support planning and delivery of monthly team training sessions.

  • Share best practices and help strengthen facilitation skills across the team.

Other Tasks (10%)

  • Conduct research on key reports from the youth sector.

  • Support program logistics, including coordinating materials, scheduling, and other operational needs to ensure smooth program delivery.

  • Other duties as assigned to support program success.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in facilitation, partnership development, or community development.

  • Proven experience designing and delivering workshops.

  • Strong communication skills to support, lightly supervise, and train a team of facilitators and volunteers.

  • Understanding of anti-oppression frameworks and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively.

  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is a strong asset, as the role involves traveling to schools, community sites, and events across the Lower Mainland.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $30–$36/hour (commensurate with experience).
