About LOVE BC
LOVE BC (Leave Out Violence BC) is a youth-driven organization with over 20 years of experience supporting underserved youth through violence prevention, skill-building, and creative expression. We offer weekly safe, youth-centered programs, including art, games, self-defense, meals, and individualized support. Across the Lower Mainland, we also deliver hundreds of workshops focused on social-emotional learning, social justice, and awareness.

Role Overview
We are seeking Youth Facilitators to lead workshops and engage youth in creative and interactive activities, while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Each facilitator will have the opportunity to customize their workshops. Most regular sessions are held in Vancouver’s Downtown, Eastside, and Killarney neighborhoods.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Workshop Delivery

• Facilitate workshops, including preparation, delivery, and wrap-up, with activities that promote youth development and skill-building.

• Build trusting, ongoing relationships with youth participants.

• Attend a monthly in-person meeting for training and teamwork.

• Gather food, supplies, and materials as needed for programs.

• Monitor attendance and track participant engagement.

Youth Engagement & Support

• Identify youth interests and goals through conversation and reflection during sessions.

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.

• Support other program tasks as needed to ensure program success.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating groups, workshops, or youth programs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to create safe, inclusive, and supportive spaces for youth.

• Understanding of anti-oppression practices and equity principles.
