Since 1978, 1Up Victoria Single Parent Resource Centre (1Up) has been dedicated to supporting the diverse and evolving needs of single parent families in the Greater Victoria area. As a registered charitable organization, we provide practical resources, growth opportunities, and a sense of hope to over 1,800 families each year. Guided by skilled staff and dedicated volunteers, our strength-based, trauma-informed programs create foundations for personal and community growth in a welcoming, non-judgmental environment. Summary & Key Functions
As the Executive Director of 1Up Victoria Single Parent Resource Centre, you will lead with vision, purpose, and heart - guiding an organization dedicated to empowering single parents and their children. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will champion strategic growth, ensure financial sustainability, and expand community impact through thoughtful planning and effective operations. Your strong financial literacy and business acumen will drive sound budgeting, forecasting, and risk management, while your proven fundraising expertise will open doors to new partnerships, grants, and revenue opportunities. You will inspire and support a talented team, foster a culture of collaboration and inclusion, and serve as the organization’s lead ambassador - building relationships, strengthening visibility, and advancing 1Up’s mission with confidence and integrity.
As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for these key functions:

This full-time 40-hours per week position, offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment, with occasional travel within the Greater Victoria region, requiring the successful candidate to be located in Victoria, BC.
