Executive Director

The current Executive Director has been in the position since 2010. During that time, she has led the society in significant growth in capacity and, in the ability to assist an ever-growing number of clients. As she will be retiring in March 2026, the Board are seeking the next ED. The successful candidate will be a person who is or has been a leader in the Not-for-Profit sector with a proven track record of success in delivering on Mission, Vision and Values as well as driving organizational goals and growth in serving clients.

Position Purpose

Leads the Society as a whole through working with the Executive and Management teams in managing the society overall with the goal of fulfilling the essential functions and achieving its’ purposes and ends.

Key Responsibilities

Communicates the Society’s Mission, Vision and Values internally and externally; Ensures the Society’s activities remain true to the founder’s vision; Ensures the Society achieves Board established goals and objectives through strategic organizational planning; Follows and models the Society’s values, principles and ethics; Provides leadership and direction to the ICCS Executive, Management and Staff teams; Ensures the highest level of financial controls and adherence to operational policies; Reports directly to the Board; As the Society’s Chief Liaison builds strong, enduring relationships with all government and partner agencies.

Education

An undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences or Public Administration is required. An appropriate graduate degree is highly preferred. Graduate studies / training and experience in HR Management, Conflict Resolution, Crisis Intervention, Christian Studies / Theology would be additional positive assets.

Experience

A minimum of 10 years in the Not-for-Profit sector with at least 5 years of prior senior NFP leadership experience is required.

Compensation

Salary appropriate to education and experience based on the current 2025 Executive Director salary grid – $102k - $142k annually; Benefits, Vacation and Municipal retirement packages; Moving package for over 100km; Minimum 3-month evaluation period with 6-months access to mentor and on-boarding activities.
