Toronto STEM School is an independent not-for-profit high school. We benefit from a good mix of local and international students. We're looking for a capable instructor with Computer Science background for teaching students at AP level (Advanced Placement). The position involves creating materials. The successful candidate should be capable of teaching children and designing lessons and assessment. We'd like our teacher to broadcast their live classes in order to accommodate those student. We require 4.5 teaching hours commitment per week to begin with. Classes are conducted live on Zoom in the evenings. We'll extend the hours based on demand.
The successful candidate:
- Has a strong background in Computer Science
- Is able to offer lessons online
- Loves teaching!
Experience with AP courses is an asset.
- Strong background in AP.
- Proficiency in subjects such as Computer science, discrete math or statistics
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored to individual student needs
