Toronto STEM School is an independent not-for-profit high school. We benefit from a good mix of local and international students. We're looking for a capable instructor with Computer Science background for teaching students at AP level (Advanced Placement). The position involves creating materials. The successful candidate should be capable of teaching children and designing lessons and assessment. We'd like our teacher to broadcast their live classes in order to accommodate those student. We require 4.5 teaching hours commitment per week to begin with. Classes are conducted live on Zoom in the evenings. We'll extend the hours based on demand.

The successful candidate:

- Has a strong background in Computer Science

- Is able to offer lessons online

- Loves teaching!

Experience with AP courses is an asset.

• Provide online sessions to students preparing for standardized tests- Develop customized study plans based on students' strengths and weaknesses- Assist students in understanding complex concepts in various subjects- Mentor and motivate students to reach their full potential- Conduct practice tests and review results with students to track progress- Offer guidance on test-taking strategies and time management skills

- Strong background in AP.
- Proficiency in subjects such as Computer science, discrete math or statistics
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
