Reports to: Program Coordinator and Youth Engagement Specialist   

Frontlines is seeking a Grants Administrator to support the development and administration of our micro-grants and scholarship programs. This role will be responsible for coordinating the full grants cycle, which includes application design, proposal review, funds allocation, and reporting. The Grants Administrator will ensure that programs are accessible, impactful, and aligned with Frontlines’ mission of supporting youth and families in our community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement the micro-grants program’s operational plan, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Support the creation of grant-making criteria that reflect the mission and objectives of the funds.

  • Provide guidance and resources to youth applicants, including application writing tips, budget templates, and ongoing support.

  • Oversee and manage the implementation of grant cycles, ensuring efficient and effective distribution of funds.
    Assist in developing and applying monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure program effectiveness.

  • Identify potential grant recipients and collaborate with them to develop proposals that align with program objectives.

  • Review and evaluate proposals, making recommendations to the Grant Coordinator and Program Director.
    Monitor and report on the progress of funded projects to the CEO, senior management team, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Provide technical assistance to grant recipients for effective project implementation.

  • Lead the development of workshops and curriculum that build youth knowledge of community leadership and diversity.

  • Partner with youth organizations to strengthen their capacity through training and workshops.

  • Support the design and implementation of social events for children and youth.

  • Assist with scholarship programs administered by Frontlines, including cultivating opportunities with external partners.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Post-secondary education in social sciences, business management, community development, public administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Previous experience in grant administration, program coordination, or related work involving funding processes.

  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly youth and marginalized communities.
    Strong understanding of youth engagement strategies, diversity, and social inclusion.

  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation systems to assess program impact.

  • Ability to use technical tools and platforms to support grant administration and reporting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to youth and community partners.
    Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
