Salary range: $125,000-$140,000 commensurate with experience

Description:
We’re looking for an experienced leader committed to progressive politics and climate action to become the Executive Director (“ED”) of the Green Party of Ontario. The ED is responsible for developing, overseeing and implementing the Party’s strategic plan that will build on the Party’s record fundraising and growth coming out of the 2025 Election. The ED is also responsible for ensuring staff teams are executing annual workplans; budgeting and financial reporting; HR and office management; fundraising growth; annual conventions; and overseeing necessary IT maintenance and development. 

Qualifications

  • Senior management and human resources experience leading organizations, especially in progressive non-profits or politics

  • Solid, hands-on, budget and P&L management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting

  • Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation

  • Knowledge of and experience with fundraising strategies and donor relations

  • Proven ability to build volunteer teams, collaborate with and motivate volunteers

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to interface and engage diverse volunteer and donor groups

  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff

  • Progressive, transparent and high integrity leadership skills

  • Availability to occasionally travel and work irregular hours, including weekends

Assets

  • Political, campaign and/or legislative experience

  • Creativity in developing new and unique ways to improve operations of the organization and to create new opportunities.

  • French or other languages

  • Knowledge of Elections Ontario rules and procedures
