We are seeking a creative, driven, and strategic Senior Marketing & Fundraising Associate to join our team. This role blends content creation, public relations, donor engagement, campaign management, and digital strategy to build awareness, drive engagement, and raise funds for the organization. Ideal candidates will have a strong grasp of digital trends, visual storytelling, and nonprofit marketing and fundraising communications. Key Responsibilities
This multifaceted role reports to the Head of Marketing and Development and works closely under their direction to ensure outcomes are aligned with the organization’s strategy and priorities.
Content Creation
• Social: Develop, design, and publish engaging digital social media content like videos, reels, and album posts about HA deployments, partnerships, and fundraising campaigns for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
• Email: Design and distribute regular email newsletters and campaign updates to donors, volunteers, and stakeholders.
• Web: Design banners for website homepage. Identify narrative topics and write blog posts in support of content calendar themes.
• PR: Write and disseminate press releases as needed.
• Fundraising: Develop messaging and materials (flyers, banners, microsites for peer-to-peer fundraising or online auctions) that align with fundraising and event goals.
• Help update and manage team content calendar.
Public Relations
• Identify and secure social media collaborators to expand impact. Plan out and execute the collaborations.
• Identify and secure PR and news media outlets for our leadership and physician volunteers returning from deployments.
• Assist with media training our representatives.
Donor & Community Engagement
• Support donor outreach, retention, and appreciation activities, and donor pipeline management.
• Assist with volunteer management and event planning tasks as needed.
• Monitor and moderate comments on social media channels.
Digital Strategy
• Plan and execute paid digital marketing campaigns (search, social) to attract new donors and retain existing donors.
• Optimize web content for user experience and search engines (SEO) to drive traffic and increase visibility.
• Conduct proactive social listening to identify content trends, sentiment, and narratives where HA’s content could resonate; make recommendations; execute on approved plans.
• Track and analyze weekly performance across social media, email, website, and fundraising CRM. Provide actionable insights to refine digital strategies to grow awareness and fundraising metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ relevant experience required. Marketing background preferred. Conversational Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Portfolio of creative content samples is required. Please include at least one example from 3 of the 5 content types listed in bold in the “Content Creation” section. For instance, one example from Social, one example from Email, and one example from Web.
• U.S. Eastern time zone preferred.
• Impeccable work ethic and alignment with HA’s values (see About section).
• Ability to work quickly, independently, and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving organization. Thrives and shows leadership in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a demonstrable knack for storytelling and brand consistency.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends for event support.
• Proficiency with tools such as social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn), video editing software (ex: Riverside, Adobe Premiere Pro), Fundraising CRMs (ex: Givebutter), Canva, Google suite, Microsoft suite, Mailchimp, and Workflow tools (ex: Trello).
Salary range is $55,000-60,000, commensurate with experience and candidate location.
