Summary of the Sales Coordinator, Victoria Conference Centre role:

Join our dynamic team as a Sales Coordinator, Victoria Conference Centre and play a key role in bringing conferences and meetings to life at the Victoria Conference Centre. In this fast-paced, collaborative role, you will support the sales process from first inquiry to contract, managing client communications, preparing proposals and presentations, maintaining our CRM system, and keeping reports and marketing materials up to date. You will be the organizational backbone of the sales team, ensuring every detail, document, and deadline is handled with care so things run seamlessly behind the scenes. This position is a great fit for a tech-savvy, organized, and personable team player eager to grow in the exciting world of business events. 

This position is fully in-person, requiring the successful candidate to be located in the Greater Victoria region. It is a full-time 35/hrs a week role with a salary between $50,000-$58,000. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.

What you need to bring:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; a technical college degree or diploma will be considered.
  • Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, CRM systems.
  • Understanding of tourism, hotel, event, and sales industry preferred.
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Pro-active, self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Efficient, organized, and able to juggle various tasks.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written.
