CRIEC is a respected, mission-driven not-for-profit organization that helps internationally trained professionals build meaningful careers in Calgary. Through partnerships with employers, mentors, and community organizations, CRIEC delivers mentoring, job-readiness programming, and employment pathways that support immigrant success and strengthen Calgary’s workforce.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides strategic and operational leadership to advance CRIEC’s mission. The role oversees program delivery, financial sustainability, stakeholder engagement, and organizational culture. As CRIEC’s spokesperson, the Executive Director champions diversity, inclusion, and equitable employment opportunities for internationally trained professionals.
Lead strategic planning, organizational direction, and team mentorship.
Oversee day-to-day operations, program delivery, evaluation, and client service excellence.
Manage budgeting, financial reporting, fundraising, grants, and risk oversight.
Build and strengthen relationships with employers, partners, funders, government, and the community.
Support governance, engage Board committees, and ensure alignment of policies and practices.
Foster a culture of learning, mentorship, inclusion, and belonging.
You are an accomplished senior leader with 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience, ideally within the non-profit, immigrant-serving, or employment sectors. You bring strong operational and financial management skills, experience leading teams, and a proven ability to build partnerships and engage diverse communities. You demonstrate exceptional communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking. A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the success of internationally trained professionals is essential. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is an asset.
