The Surrey Association for Community Living is a non-profit organization that provides programs and support services for people with developmental disabilities and their families. We have provided services in the community for over 60 years and have established close partnerships within the Surrey community, striving to make our community more inclusive. We are seeking an Assistant Supervisor to join our team!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports staff in the planning process, goal setting, and action planning with individuals, and families where appropriate
- Ability to develop, establish, and maintain efficient office workflow and administrative processes
- Maintains compliance with program policies and procedures
- Actively participate in team individuals/participants evaluations
- Maintain accurate records regarding individuals/participants performance
- Knowledge of Sharevision and goal writing
- Other duties as assigned according to the job description or duties assigned by the Manager
Qualifications
- Diplomas in related human / social service field and two (2) years recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Possession of a valid B.C. Class 5 driver’s license
- Must have a personal vehicle with $3,000,000 liability and business insurance
- Driver’s Abstract
- Approved Criminal Record Check (CRC)
- Current 1st Aid/CPR certificate
- Current MANDT/CPI Training
- Negative TB declaration or test results
- Doctor's Certificate of good health
- Experience working with the developmentally disabled adults
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills in a team environment
- Experience working in all facets of Day Programs
- Good effective report writing skills
- Training or experience in staff supervision
