PROGRAM FACILITATOR

The incumbent for this position will have a degree, applied degree or diploma from a recognized university or college in a field that focuses on understanding and assessing human behaviour, or a suitable combination of experience and formal academics. You will have direct experience working with youth who present with a variety of difficult behaviours, preferably with elementary and high school aged youth. You will facilitate to middle school and high school youth focussing on behavioural and attitudinal change. You are comfortable and knowledgeable working with youth/families from Toronto’s various diverse cultures.
You will be a part of the CTI Client Program Team, under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, working with other staff members in a variety of programs designed to support youth.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent for this position will be responsible for the following:
• Design
o Assist in the preparation and development of daily activities for the program.
o Incorporate evidence-informed and culturally responsive practices into curriculum development.
o Collaborate with school staff, caregivers, and community partners to tailor programming to client needs.
• Operation
o Deliver the individual and group program modules.
o Achieve results through relationships within the community and school-based settings.
o Ensure that program delivery is compliant with operational and organizational standards.
o Provide coaching, mentorship, and goal-setting support to participants as part of their individual plans.
o Manage group dynamics to ensure a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed learning environment.
o Identify participants requiring additional supports and coordinate internal or external referrals as needed.
• Evaluation
o Track client progress using established assessment tools and contribute to continuous program improvement.
o Maintain case recording on client interactions as appropriate and as per agency guidelines, leading to overall assessment of client performance.
o Comply with all internal and external evaluation requirements.
o Analyze trends in attendance, engagement, and outcomes to inform program adjustments.
2. Community Liaison:
• Agency Representation
o Through the Gang Prevention and Intervention staff, ensure strong and effective relations with stakeholders.
o Facilitate promotion of the program in the community.
o Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, community agencies, and service providers to support seamless service pathways.
o Represent the program at community meetings, school committees, or youth-serving networks as required.
• Outreach
o Support recruitment of participants by conducting outreach to families, schools, and community organizations.
o Assist in the development of promotional materials and messaging that reflect program goals.
• Administrative & Operational Duties
o Ensure compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and documentation standards.
o Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, supervision, and training as required.
o Contribute to reporting for funders, internal teams, and external partners.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of youth development, violence prevention, and trauma-informed practices.
CRITICAL ASSETS
• A post-secondary degree, diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with the target client population.
• Experience in case management practices.
• Experience with program facilitation.
• Effective English oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Ability to work well with team members.
• Initiative, good judgment, high ethical standards
• A valid Ontario driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle for travel is an asset.
• A Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS) will be required.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS
This is a permanent full-time position. Most of the work will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, with some evening programming.
Salary Range: $48,000 - $54,000 per annum, plus benefits.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
