Key Responsibilities:
Donor Stewardship and Engagement
The Donor Relations Coordinator is a key member of our team, responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships with donors, ensuring accurate and timely communication, and providing excellent stewardship that reflects our Christian values. This individual will be responsible for donor database management, donor engagement, gift processing, and assisting with fundraising campaigns. The ideal candidate is organized, relational, and passionate about advancing the mission of Mission to Children and Hope Mission—bringing hope through meals, care, and the gospel.
Database and Gift Management
- Maintain accurate donor records
- Run donor reports and assist in donor segmentation and analysis
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of donor information
Fundraising Support
- Support the planning and execution of donor events (e.g. appreciation dinners, prayer breakfasts, or tours)
- Assist in fundraising appeals, both digital and print.
- Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling donor materials.
- Track campaign progress and assist in evaluating fundraising efforts.
Spiritual and Ministry Responsibilities
- Uphold the Christian mission and values of Hope Mission in all interactions.
- Pray regularly for donors and ministry partners.
- Participate in team devotions, prayer meetings, and ministry events as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Required
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of Hope Mission
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Highly relational
- Self-starter
Preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or nonprofit administration.
- Experience with event planning and donor engagement strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Other Requirements:
- Cover letter stating why you want to work with a Christian organization.
- Being a Christian Organization we require our employees to be in agreement and sign the Hope Mission Statement of Faith.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
- Able to provide Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
- A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset
- Adherence to Hope Mission’s Policies and Procedures.
