JOB SUMMARY

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of various Rick Hansen Foundation School Program (RHFSP) initiatives that empower K-12 educators and youth to be champions for disability inclusion and accessibility, including Ambassador presentations and the Rick & Amanda Hansen Scholarship for Youth with Disabilities.

 

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS                            

Reporting to the Manager, RHFSP, the Program Coordinator works closely with RHFSP team, Ambassador contractors and the Marketing and Communications team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Acts as main point of contact for Ambassador speakers and monitors and responds to requests received in the RHFSP and Ambassador email inboxes;
  • Ensures all Ambassador speaker information package documents and contracts are signed;
  • Coordinates dates, times and logistics for in-person and virtual Ambassador speaker presentations, webinars and Professional Development workshops;
  • Contributes to the development of content for Ambassador speaker presentations and assists with training;
  • Helps to ensure Ambassador presentations meet operational / funder goals and budgets;
  • Provides pre- and post-presentation activities and survey links;
  • Sets up Salesforce campaigns and accurately monitors performance;
  • Coordinates and administers the Rick & Amanda Hansen Scholarship for Youth with Disabilities;
  • Acts as main point of contact for scholarship applicants and recipients;
  • Provides support with RHFSP Salesforce database management, including entering information and reporting;
  • Distributes Educator E-Learning course licenses;
  • Ensures all new resources are uploaded in online resource library;
  • Coordinates and distributes program Advisory Committee agendas and meeting minutes;
  • Works with Marcom team to coordinate all program collateral inventory, printing and distribution;
  • Provides general team support including assistance with IT requests, marketing and communications, events, webinars and meetings; 
  • Assists with preparing POs contracts and processing invoices;
  • Works on research and other special projects as required; and 
  • Performs other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the position.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered.

Education: University degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certification/Designations: None.

 

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience;
  • Demonstrated experience with program coordination and/or event planning, engagement and relationship management;
  • Computer experience including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, virtual meeting/webinar technology (i.e., Zoom, MS Teams). Experience with Salesforce and/or other CRM database, and D2L Brightspace and/or other LMS platforms are assets;
  • Knowledge of program management;
  • Non-profit experience an asset; and
  • Understanding and sensitivity of issues relating to people with disabilities preferred.
