Program Manager, Disability Services Programs

Two (2) Permanent Full-time positions (40 hours per week)

McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association is seeking two (2) experienced and dynamic Program Managers to provide strategic and operational leadership within our Disability Services Programs. As members of the management team, Program Managers lead supervisors and program teams to ensure strong program oversight, resource management, regulatory compliance, and alignment with funder and budget requirements.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Director of Services, the Program Manager provides operational and people leadership for assigned Disability Services programs.

 

Key areas of responsibility will include:

•         Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for assigned programs, ensuring high-quality, person-centred service delivery.

•         Ensure programs operate in compliance with contractual, accreditation, legislative, and organizational standards.

•         Lead and support supervisors and program teams through coaching, performance management, and clear accountability.

•         Foster a psychologically safe, inclusive, and values-based team environment aligned with agency principles.

•         Monitor program performance, client outcomes, and service quality, and lead continuous improvement efforts.

•         Oversee staffing, workforce planning, and employee relations activities in partnership with Human Resources.

•         Manage program budgets, staffing resources, and financial controls to ensure responsible use of funding.

•         Promote strong health, safety, and risk management practices across program operations.

•         Build and maintain effective working relationships with funders, community partners, and stakeholders.

•         Contribute to management team planning and support broader organizational strategy and priorities.

 

What you bring:

•       A post-secondary degree/diploma with a background in the Human Services Field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

•       Minimum of five (5) years of progressive supervisory/management experience in the Human Services field, preferably in the Disability Services sector.

•       Proven experience leading client-centred residential or community-based programs, including service planning and an understanding of restrictive procedures.

•       Experience working with Indigenous and diverse populations, with a commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and equity-based practice.

•       Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.

•       Good understanding of health and wellness needs of persons with developmental disabilities, including Autism, FASD, substance use, intergenerational trauma, and mental health concerns.

•       A strong commitment to teamwork and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

•       A valid Class 5 driver’s license, a reliable personal vehicle, and comfortable driving to multiple locations are essential for this role.
