Manager of Community Inclusion - Richmond, BC ($71,000 – $75,000/yearly)


Our Community Inclusion Programs are a busy and vibrant part of our agency focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for supported individuals with a primary focus on meaningful community inclusion. The Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and services, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing frontline operations- including case management, coordinating with partners both within and outside of the agency, and ensuring the completion of the program’s administrative requirements.


YOUR IMPACT


•Manage day-to-day operations including staff planning and monitoring expenses.
•Ensure high quality services that promote dignity and empower individuals to make informed decisionsand communicate their needs.
•Encourage individuals to build connections; to live self-determined lives in the community surrounded byfriends and family.
•Establish respectful relationships with the individual, their family members and support network, providingprogress reports as needed.
•Support individuals to direct their person-centred planning; to achieve goals based on their ownpreferences, beliefs and desires.
•Lead a staff team by fostering a positive workplace culture where staff feel engaged, empowered, andvalued. The manager will also play a significant role in the hiring and onboarding of team members
•Contribute to annual budget planning and policy development as required.


YOUR CAPABILITIES


As the ideal candidate for this position, you are a results oriented, self-motivated and dynamic leader with direct experience in managing licensed and unlicensed residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities.


In addition, you have:


•Relevant post-secondary education in social services, human resources, or a related field and/or an appropriate combination of education and experience.

•Five to seven years of experience in the field, demonstrating progressive program management accountability.

•Strong communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

•Ability to build and effective team, manage personnel and performance issues in an effective and progressive manner while maintaining sensitivity to people from diverse cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.

•Strong planning and program development skills, with demonstrated experience.

•Able to build effective working relationships with other professionals, family members, and organizations to ensure services are in the client’s best interest and supportive of their goals.

•Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of ShareVision is considered an asset.
