Home Share Opportunity – Greater Victoria (including Uptown, Mayfair, Oak Bay, Sidney, and the West Shore)

Ideal Home Environment

• All areas of Greater Victoria, including Uptown, Mayfair, Oak Bay, Sidney, and the West Shore
• Pet-friendly (indoor cat included)
• Calm, respectful atmosphere with space for solitude and curated friendship
• Willingness to maintain open and respectful communication with family

Support Overview

• A trauma-informed approach and comfort with emotional regulation strategies
• Occasional reminders for medication and daily routines
• Gentle cueing around hygiene and tidying when needed
• Support with coordinating and attending medical and wellness appointments
• Encouragement of healthy boundaries and community engagement
• Ability to hold space for sensitive conversations in a respectful way

Family Involvement

This individual has a close and supportive relationship with their mother, who remains actively involved in their life. The home share provider should be open to collaborative and respectful communication with her, as she is a valued part of the individual’s broader support network.
