About Us

 

We (Pathways Clubhouse) are a community based non-profit registered charity serving adults in the Lower Mainland who are living with mental health challenges.  We are located in Richmond, BC and currently have over 300 active members, an average daily attendance of over 70, 25 employees, and are open every day of the year. 

 

We pride ourselves in offering hope, encouragement and opportunities to our members.  The services we presently offer include pre-vocational, employment, volunteering, housing, education, physical wellness, social, and public mental health education.  Our unique model provides a barrier-free collegial environment where members and staff work together to accomplish the work of the Clubhouse.

 

About You

 

As a Program Staff reporting to the Housing Manager, you will be responsible for delivering effective support and services to members of Pathways Clubhouse. The Career and Housing Unit, focuses on housing, employment, and wellness activities. While primarily Clubhouse based, this role also involves providing support to members in the community. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize in a busy environment and engage members in the work-ordered day. Specific housing-related duties include assisting with financial administrative tasks related to housing as well as, liaising with the Ministry of Social Development and BC Housing, and advocating for members by addressing issues such as evictions, moving logistics, and tenancy rights.

 

You will typically work 36-hour week, 5 days a week between Monday and Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm and are available to work evenings as required, typically once a month.

 

Qualifications:

 

•     Studies in Social Service or Mental Health fields or an equivalent combination of related education and experience

•     Sound knowledge of mental health issues and social services available in Canada

•     Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license

•     Access to reliable vehicle

•     Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 or equivalent

•     Computer skills required – Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Canva

•     Safe Talk training is an asset

•     Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Record Check

 

This is a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate is eligible to enroll in our benefits plan after a successful completion of the 3-month probationary period and eligible for pension plan after 1 year. Year 1 Salary: $48,900.00

 

As our Clubhouse is accredited through Clubhouse International, part of your responsibility will be to ensure we continue to uphold the requirements of our accreditation, and standards. You are comfortable working side-by-side with members in a generalist role where you will have the opportunity to lead and participate in a variety of activities across the span of our offerings.
