PLEA Community Services is currently seeking a Casual On-Call Youth Development and Intensive Support & Supervision Program (ISSP) Worker for our Vancouver Coastal Youth Services team in the Sunshine Coast regional district with occasional travel to Vancouver for meetings. The successful candidate will hold two (2) casual on-call positions: Youth Development Worker supporting our Onyx program and an Intensive Support & Supervision Program (ISSP) Worker. The proposed start date for these positions is as soon as possible. These positions require BCGEU membership.
As a Youth Development Worker, the employee will support our Onyx program providing immediate support to youth who have experienced sexual exploitation and need support exiting from the sex trade or sexually exploitive relationships. As an ISSP (Intensive Support & Supervision Program) Worker, the employee will also provide one-to-one services for youth who are deemed to be medium to high risk of re-offending – the program is an alternative to custody.
Hours of Work: The selected candidate must be available for a minimum of one 7-hour weekday and one 7-hour weekend shift per week within the program's hours of operations, including days and evenings. Assigned shifts will be up to 7 hours in length. Shifts may be assigned to either Onyx or ISSP program needs.
