Job Title: Recovery Coach
Based at: Edwardson Place (10336 114 St NW) , Green Manor (10635 107 St NW)
Reports to: Clinical Manager, Recovery Program
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM

Job Summary: Provide ongoing case management, navigation, and advocacy to clients for the purpose of supporting them in their recovery journey and connecting them to appropriate recovery resources. Building trusting relationships, the Recovery Coach empowers clients to set goals, develop action plans, and connect them to vital resources within the community
Key Responsibilities:
- Resource navigator – identify appropriate recovery resources internal and external to Hope Mission and support the client by advocating for them and providing education on resources available to them.
- Referral management – refer clients to appropriate resources before and after the program and follow up with the outcomes of the referral.
- Work with participants to develop recovery plans which are person centered and strengths based.
- Proactively maintain connections with clients who have relapsed and provide consistent follow-up to support their continued recovery.
- Prepare and equip program graduates with essential resources and support to empower them to continue progressing in their recovery journey.
- Provide follow-up to build rapport and ensure continued support.
- Maintain documentation, including referrals, service delivery, and participant records in accordance with FOIP.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- Criminal record check, including vulnerable sector check and child welfare check is required
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training is an asset but is provided if needed
- Recovery Coaching training completed with Recovery Coach Academy Canada
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to differing site needs
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Strong capacity for independence, self-motivation, leadership, and the ability to proactively take initiative in their work
- Ability to remain flexible, open to change, and responsive to shifting clinical and program needs
- Experience working with homeless or vulnerable populations is an asset
- High level of care and compassion for culturally marginalized and underprivileged people
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

- Being a non-denominational Christian Organization, we require our employees to be in agreement and sign the Hope Mission Statement of Faith.

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
- Able to provide Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and a Child Intervention Record Check
- A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset
- Adherence to Hope Mission’s Policies and Procedures
