About VYPER
VYPER (Visionary Youth Peers for Equity & Revitalization) is an Indigenous youth-led
initiative based in the Fraser Valley, BC. Since 2021, we’ve hosted 300+ culture nights and
reached over 50,000 people through pow wows, youth cohorts, land-based learning, and
storytelling. Our mission: help Indigenous youth reconnect with culture, reclaim leadership, and
spark systems change.
Through the Resurgence in Motion (RIM) framework, VYPER partners with schools, child
welfare agencies, and community organizations to strengthen protective factors for Indigenous
youth, including belonging, cultural identity, leadership development, and institutional cultural
safety.
Phase 3 of the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Mental Health Promotion Innovation Fund
supports provincial and interprovincial scaling of this work.
This role supports institutional embedding of RIM practices across partner systems.
Position Overview
The Systems Integration & Training Coordinator leads the design and delivery of institutional
training and supports integration of the Resurgence in Motion (RIM) framework within
education, child welfare, and community systems.
This role focuses on professional development, Train-the-Trainer implementation, readiness
planning, and mentorship structures that build long-term institutional capacity.
The position is based in Abbotsford, BC, with a hybrid model (office + remote). Provincial travel
and occasional interprovincial travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Institutional Embedding & Partner Onboarding
• Support readiness assessments and onboarding of new partner sites
• Assist in development of Living MOUs outlining governance, evaluation, and
sustainability commitments
• Provide coaching and support to partner institutions embedding RIM practices Ensure all
content aligns with accessibility standards and SGBA+ integrationProvide coaching and
support to partner institutions embedding RIM practices
Professional Development & Training
• Design and deliver experiential, culturally grounded professional development sessions
• Co-facilitate training alongside youth leaders and Elders
• Integrate SGBA+, health equity, and cultural safety frameworks into training materials
• Develop facilitation guides, manuals, and learning tools
Train-the-Trainer (TtT) Pathway
• Support implementation of TtT certification framework
• Mentor partner staff and youth facilitators toward independent delivery
• Assist in development of structured training modules and toolkits
Mentorship & Cross-Sector Learning
• Facilitate mentorship circles with educators and service providers
• Support cross-sector learning exchanges
• Strengthen relational accountability within partner systems
Evaluation & Reporting
• Collaborate with Developmental Evaluator to integrate feedback into training design
• Track participation metrics and institutional adoption indicators
• Contribute to reporting aligned with PHAC requirements
Sustainability & Resource Development
• Contribute to grant development and funding diversification efforts
• Support development of sustainability plans with partner institutions.
Qualifications
• 3–5 years experience in facilitation, professional development, or systems implementation
• Experience working with schools, child welfare, or community organizations
• Strong facilitation and curriculum development skills
• Knowledge of cultural safety, SGBA+, and equity frameworks
• Ability to navigate institutional systems while maintaining relational accountability
Lived experience of Indigeneity and experience working within Indigenous communities and
Indigenous-led organizations are an asset.

Compensation & Benefits
• $29 per hour
• 20 hours per week

This is a part-time position funded through March 2029 with the possibility of extension.
