Hours of Work:  M-F 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 35 hours/week

Salary Range: $75,000 annually

EmployAbilities is currently filling a full-time permanent position of a Regional Manager Edmonton.

Job Summary

The Regional Manager Edmonton supervises Program Supervisors in Edmonton to ensure that planning, development, delivery and evaluation of specialized programs, government contracts and services are being accomplished as part of the Agency’s mission.  This role supports the Executive Director in proposal development, contracts, budgets and evaluation of Agency programs and participates as a member of the senior management team in the overall strategic planning and priority setting for the Agency. 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Values Promotion

  • Model and promote the agency's values of compassion, collaboration, innovation, integrity, and inclusiveness in all aspects of work.
  • Participate as a member of the senior management team in overall strategic planning and priority setting for the agency.
  • Act as a resource for issue management and conflict resolution, fostering positive relationships among staff and external stakeholders.

 

Program Management

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all agency programs in Edmonton to effectively fulfill the organization's mission and strategic objectives.
  • Provide valuable insights and recommendations based on programmatic expertise and understanding of community needs and trends.
  • Support the process of proposal development, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and organizational priorities.
  • Manage program contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other members of the senior management team to ensure integration and alignment of programmatic strategies with organizational goals.

 

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to program staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
  • Support professional development and growth opportunities for program staff, promoting continuous learning and skill-building.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to program staff, offering guidance and support in program implementation and evaluation.

 

Relationship Building and External Engagement:

  • Build and manage relationships with funders, community agencies, employers, and government bodies to enhance program outcomes and priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements and documentation from government departments and funding agencies, submitting necessary materials within outlined guidelines and schedules.

 

Special Projects and Assignments:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and other senior leaders to address organizational challenges and opportunities, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities for the agency in Edmonton in the absence of the Executive Director, ensuring continuity of operations and adherence to organizational mission and values.
  • Represent the organization in external meetings, events, and collaborations, advocating for the agency's programs and mission.

 

Summary of Qualifications:

 

•         Degree/Diploma in Social Work, Rehabilitation, Social Sciences, Special Education or related field, such as, Integrated Studies and Career                      Development.

•         Minimum five (5) years of experience overseeing employment programs or services including staff supervision.

•         Experience working with persons with disabilities, barriers to employment or other at-risk populations.

•         Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of promoting organizational values and fostering collaboration.

•         Strong understanding of contracts with the Provincial and Federal Governments

•         Must reside in Edmonton or surrounding area

•         Strong understanding of human resources management, program development, and financial planning.

•         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

•         Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for making a positive impact in the community.

•         Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office computer software.
