OUR MISSION

Because of the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ, Hope Mission exists to serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in search of help, healing, and hope.

Job Summary:

The Program Impact Analyst is a new, cross-functional role that will strengthen Hope Mission's capacity to understand, measure, and communicate the impact of our programs.

Reporting to the Senior Director, this position will collect and analyze data across all program areas, produce impact reports for internal and external audiences, and partner with program leaders and staff to translate findings into actionable improvements.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring our programs are as effective as possible for the individuals and families we serve.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Management:

  • Oversee data collection processes across program areas including emergency shelter, mobile outreach, housing programs, recovery services, and health services.
  • Maintain data integrity in case management systems (e.g., HMIS) and other tracking tools, identifying and resolving inconsistencies.
  • Develop and standardize data collection protocols in collaboration with program staff.
  • Ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements and applicable data privacy regulations.

Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze program data to identify trends, patterns, and outcomes across all service areas.
  • Produce regular impact reports for leadership, the board of directors, funders, and community partners.
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards that make findings accessible to non-technical audiences.
  • Prepare data narratives for grant applications and funder reports.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmark outcomes.

Programming Improvement & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with program directors and frontline staff to review data findings and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate data review meetings and learning sessions that support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide recommendations grounded in data to strengthen program design and service delivery.
  • Support program staff in understanding and using data as a practical tool — not just a reporting requirement.

Learning & Evaluation:

  • Design and implement program evaluation frameworks and logic models in partnership with program leaders.
  • Conduct client satisfaction surveys and analyze results to incorporate participant voice into program decisions.
  • Stay current on research and best practices in homelessness services and impact measurement.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social work, public health, data science, sociology, nonprofit management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience working with data — collecting, analyzing, and presenting findings to varied audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; ability to work with datasets and produce clear summaries.  Experience working with Tableau is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate data into compelling stories.
  • Commitment to the mission of Hope Mission and a genuine respect for individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Ability to build trust and work collaboratively with program staff at all levels.

Assets

  • Experience with HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) or comparable case management platforms.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Experience in a nonprofit, social services, or public health setting.
  • Knowledge of program evaluation methodologies, logic models, or outcome measurement frameworks.
  • Understanding trauma-informed approaches and the complexities of homelessness.

Core Competencies:

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to work through complex data sets and extract meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Communication: Skill in presenting data clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences — from frontline staff to board members.
  • Collaboration: A team-oriented approach and genuine curiosity about the work happening across programs.
  • Equity Mindset: Awareness of how data can reinforce or surface disparities, and commitment to centering those most impacted.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift and data systems may be imperfect.

Other Requirements:

  • Being a Christian Organization, we require our employees to agree with and sign the Hope Mission Statement of Faith.
  • Cover letter stating why you wish to work with a Christian organization.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
  • Able to provide Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
  • A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset
  • Adherence to Hope Mission’s Policies and Procedures.

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
