This is a 6-month mandate based in Tunisia, in Jendouba.

The mandate is part of the Equality in Action Voluntary Cooperation Programme (PCV), which is being rolled out in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020-2028). The PCV aims to increase the involvement of local partners in the countries of intervention in inclusive, innovative and sustainable initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organisations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalised people, to claim and exercise their rights. Oxfam puts the rights of women, girls and vulnerable and marginalised people at the heart of all its actions.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

Under the coordination of Oxfam Tunisia and in close collaboration with the Rayhana Association team in Jendouba, your mandate will consist of:

  • Conducting a participatory analysis of existing organizational practices;
  • Establishing a continuous organizational learning process;
  • Facilitating the creation of regular dialogue spaces within the Rayhana team;
  • Strengthening the team’s project management capacities;
  • Carrying out risk analyses for ongoing projects.

For this mandate, you must:

  • Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have a university degree in social sciences, project management, organizational development, or any other relevant field;
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience related to the mandate;
  • Possess a good understanding of the socio political context in Tunisia;
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Be fluent in spoken and written French or Arabic (mandatory). Proficiency in English is an asset.
