Pacific Wild Alliance is seeking a Fundraising and Marketing Manager to help power one of Canada’s most impactful conservation organizations.

The Role
Pacific Wild’s success depends on a growing and engaged community of supporters who energize our campaigns across British Columbia.
In this role, you will lead major gifts as the primary growth area, working closely with the Executive Director to cultivate and steward high-capacity donors and sponsors who want to make a lasting difference.
Alongside major gifts, you will oversee a diversified funding mix, including monthly and one-time donors, grants, legacy giving, and mission-driven earned revenue through fine art, books, and merchandise. You’ll work closely with a talented team of storytellers, campaigners, and conservation professionals to ensure all fundraising and marketing efforts uphold Pacific Wild’s values and extend the reach of our work.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to turn purpose into momentum — and momentum into lasting support for wildlife and wild places.
Responsibilities
Major Gifts & Philanthropic Partnerships
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, sponsors, and high-capacity supporters
Build long-term, trust-based relationships through personalized engagement, reporting, and recognition
Partner closely with the Executive Director on major gift strategy, donor meetings, and stewardship
Coordinate donor and sponsor site visits and other engagement opportunities
Manage relationships with foundations, donor-advised funds, corporate sponsors, and third-party fundraising partners
Fundraising & Marketing Strategy
Design and deliver short- and long-term fundraising and marketing strategies that grow revenue and campaign impact
Lead annual and multi-year fundraising planning, with emphasis on major gifts, monthly donors, donor-advised contributions, sponsorships, and legacy giving
Manage an integrated calendar for fundraising and marketing activities across different channels, i.e. email, social media, events, print, digital campaigns, and in-person outreach
Track results, analyze performance, and adapt strategies based on data and emerging trends
Grants & Legacy Giving
Lead the full grant lifecycle, including prospect research, proposals, reporting, and compliance
Work closely with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate budgets and reporting
Manage, and grow Pacific Wild’s legacy giving program
Mission-Based Sales & Earned Revenue
Provide strategic oversight for earned revenue, including fine art prints, merchandise, books, and digital assets
Manage and optimize sales platforms such as Shopify and SmugMug
Integrate products into fundraising appeals and conservation campaigns
Analyze sales performance, margins, and opportunities for growth
Fundraising & Marketing Operations
Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns from concept to delivery
Manage fundraising and marketing tools including FundraiseUp, Mailchimp, and Bloomerang
Ensure accurate donor records, robust reporting, and strong data integrity
Lead staff and contractors supporting fundraising, marketing, and outreach initiatives
Who You Are
You’re a relationship builder who loves connecting people to purpose. You’re strategic, organized, and comfortable working at both the big-picture and hands-on level. You care deeply about conservation and understand how fundraising, marketing, and storytelling work together to drive real and lasting change.
You bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or marketing
A proven track record securing major gifts, donations, grants, sponsorships, and earned revenue
Confidence building and stewarding long-term donor relationships
Experience with donor programs, events, digital fundraising, and e-commerce
Strong writing and communication skills, from donor proposals to grant applications
Comfort using tools such as FundraiseUp, Mailchimp, Shopify, SmugMug, and Bloomerang
Knowledge of British Columbia conservation issues and First Nations’ cultural and political geography
A collaborative, values-driven leadership style
Fundraising or gift-planning education through organizations such as the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) or the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) is an asset
