About Us

Keep Well is a nonprofit society established in 1986. Our Society provides older adults with affordable weekly fitness classes – eight in-person and two virtual – and opportunities to form social connections, and enhances their ability to lead independent lives. Our volunteer-led organization is supported through memberships, donations and funding from community partners.

 

Position Summary

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Operations Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of Keep Well and supporting our continued growth and positive impact in the North Shore community. This individual will work both independently and collaboratively, maintain and establish positive relationships, and support funding sustainability through existing and potentially new funding and sponsorship opportunities and submitting successful grant applications.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, submit and track grant applications to secure funding from existing government, corporate and foundation sources
  • Proactively research and pursue new funding opportunities, and maintain and continue to build relationships with donors, sponsors, partners and granting organizations
  • Support strategic planning, project implementation and organizational initiatives
  • Consult with the Board of Directors to improve systems, workflows and organizational effectiveness
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, partners and community members

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience researching, writing and managing grant applications
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in nonprofit operations, administration or program coordination
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
