Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) is a national, not-for-profit association representing Canada’s electrical and automation industries—powering the country’s net-zero future, intelligent buildings, smart infrastructure, and Industry 4.0. EFC’s 245 member companies—manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers’ representatives, and field service organizations—contribute more than $15 billion annually to the Canadian economy and support over 110,000 Canadian jobs. Recognized as one of Canada’s Great Places to Work for six consecutive years, EFC advances electrification, innovation, and sustainable growth across the country.
EFC is seeking a President & Chief Executive Officer to lead the association and its members in advancing a more electrified, automated, and sustainable Canada. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO will serve as chief executive and primary spokesperson, providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and industry advocacy on behalf of EFC’s national membership, while inspiring a high-performing team that delivers outstanding member value.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity at a pivotal moment of transformation: the President & CEO will drive execution of EFC’s strategic vision, aligning industry trends, including grid modernization, renewable integration, EV infrastructure, and workforce development, with member priorities and long-term sector growth, and fostering collaboration across the electrical value chain while ensuring the continued delivery of high-value programs, events, market intelligence, standards leadership, and industry networks.
The ideal candidate brings proven executive leadership experience within a trade association, nonprofit organization, or the electrical sector. You possess deep understanding of industry channel dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and technological trends shaping electrification and automation. You are a strategic thinker with strong advocacy skills, financial acumen, and the ability to unify diverse member interests with diplomacy and credibility. An accomplished public speaker and relationship builder, you are equally comfortable in the boardroom, at industry events, and before government audiences.
