This role leads HUB Cycling’s work to improve cycling conditions in British Columbia through powerful, inclusive communications and strategic advocacy campaigns. You will manage a high-performing team and support a network of dedicated volunteers to mobilize public and decision-maker support. By building strong relationships with partners and underrepresented communities, you will amplify diverse voices to create a safer, more connected province for all people riding bikes.
The Director of Advocacy and Communications will report to the Executive Director and will supervise the Marketing Manager, Community Manager and Manager of Infrastructure, Policy and Planning.

This is a full-time position (35 hours/week) starting in May. Compensation is $72,000-88,500 per year, depending on alignment with our core requirements, years of additional experience, and the unique value of your lived experience/complementary skills, which we view as a professional asset to our team. Alternative work schedules, such as a four-day week, are a potential.
All staff are expected to work remotely part-time. The successful candidate will need access to their own cell phone and a reliable home internet connection. Office space is available for up to three days a week at 312 Main Street, Vancouver. Staff must be reasonably available for in-person meetings and events in Metro Vancouver. Occasional travel within BC may be required to support key advocacy initiatives (e.g. travelling to meet with MLAs in Victoria).
