About the Role
Reporting to the Lead, Outreach and Peer Services, the Outreach Worker is responsible for meeting the needs of people who use substances and those at risk or affected by HIV or HCV and other sexually transmitted and bloodborne infections. Delivered within a philosophy rooted in human rights, health promotion and reducing risks, the outreach worker assists participants to achieve stabilized and sustained health, improve their quality of life and meet their individualized goals. This position requires a passionate individual who is committed to developing supportive and respectful relationships through non-judgmental and client-centered service delivery.
This is a full-time eight-week term position located in the Calgary office. Regular work hours are generally between Monday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., however, a flexible schedule including day, evening, and weekend availability may be required. This position is funded through the Government of Canada’s Summer Jobs 2026 Program. The successful candidate must meet the program’s eligibility criteria.
