PLEA Community Services is currently seeking an Excluded Temporary Full-Time Accreditation Assistant for our Administration team located in Surrey, BC. This position will be an 8-week term contract with a projected end date of August 28, 2026. This position is excluded from BCGEU membership.

The Accreditation Assistant works closely with the Accreditation Specialist to support the agency’s preparation for accreditation audits and provides administrative support for the agency’s quality assurance initiatives.
Hours of Work: The usual hours of work in this position are Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 4:00PM, based on 35 working hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet departmental needs.

What You Will Do:
a. Reviewing existing policy documents to ensure that the information is accurate, complete, up-to-date and consistently formatted.
b. Tracking policy review dates and deadlines.
c. Flagging gaps or inconsistencies between policies and accreditation standards, using the provided templates.
d. Organizing, standardizing, and maintaining policy folders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of files as required.
e. Developing resources (such as tutorials) to assist management’s work on policies.
a. Locating the documents that demonstrate the agency’s compliance with accreditation standards and ensuring files are accurate, complete and up-to-date.
b. Organizing and maintaining the agency’s evidence of compliance documentation to provide to site visitors/accreditation surveyors.
c. Tracking the agency’s progress/milestones in meeting the accreditation standards.
d. Updating internal documents to prepare agency staff for accreditation audits.
e. Providing administrative support to assist the development and maintenance of sustainable accreditation systems (e.g., workflows, naming conventions, templates).
f. Scheduling internal audits of the agency’s compliance with accreditation standards as required.
