This is a 6-12 month mandate in La Paz, Bolivia.

 

The mandate is under the Equality in Action Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), which takes place in 12 countries and 3 regions over a eight-year period (2020-2028). The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in countries of intervention in inclusive, innovative and sustainable initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights. Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything it does.

 

Here’s what your daily life will look like:

In close collaboration with local partner organization and Oxfam in Bolivia team members, your mandate will be to:

 

  • Strengthen the capacities of partner organizations in Bolivia to improve their monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability mechanisms by applying a feminist and intersectional approach, promoting inclusion, and highlighting inequalities;
  • Design and monitor transformative gender indicators, and support partner organizations in the development and tracking of qualitative indicators that reflect concrete progress in transforming attitudes, power relations, and individual empowerment;
  • Support partners in strengthening monitoring and tracking systems, ensuring they are strategic, political, intersectional, highly participatory, and learning-centered; 
  • Support Oxfam in Bolivia in improving their monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability mechanisms and tools by adopting a flexible feminist approach with cultural relevance.

 

For this mandate you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have university degree in program evaluation, administration, project management or other relevant field;
  • Have at least 3 years of experience related to the mandate;
  • Be fluent in Spanish, spoken and written (required);
  • Master the Office Suite.
